Hello Readers,
Lets talk about carpal tunnel. I have had the surgeries and they work, but they still suck. So lets lets talk about how to avoid them. First of all there are exercises we can do before and after certain activities, like typing. Here is a link to exercises that will help to avoid this problem. Another option is to avoid the activity. I suggest Dragon Naturally Speaking. I use it, it works well, though it is slower for those of us who know how to type.
Any one out there have the same problems? Anyone had the surgery? Did it work for you? Did you lose fine motor control like I did?
Workers have the right to go home in the same condition they went to work, how can we help make this happen?

Introduction
Hello Readers,
Welcome to Safety Talk, a blog about worker safety and going home alive. I have been working in the trades for about 14 years now and have seen a lot of unsafe acts, and avoidable injuries. I myself have suffered from carpal tunnel and have had four surgeries on my wrists so I understand the kind of stress a work related injury can have on a person, their family and their relationship with employers. Lets talk about how we can make our place of work a safer place so we can all go home in the same condition we showed up for work in.
